Brooklyn Bridge & Dumbo

I have lived in NYC for two years and never stepped foot in Dumbo until last week. It was super easy to get to as all the major subway lines stop nearby. Which is perfect if you are visiting and staying near Times Square since that stop has all the lines!

Brooklyn Bridge Park is beautiful and has amazing views of the New York skyline as well as the Brooklyn Bridge in the background! There is plenty of green space as well as shoreline to soak up a sunny day. Jane's carousel is also in the park if you are visiting with kids.

If you're looking to make an afternoon or a day in Brooklyn each pier in the park offers different attractions! There are a few different play grounds, and even a roller rink on pier 2. There is also free public Kayaking from pier 4 June-August, which is a great way to see the Manhattan Skyline as well as the Statue of Liberty! I have done the free public kayaking on the Hudson River before and highly recommend it!

While you're visiting be sure to swing by Almondine Bakery at 85 Water Street for an afternoon treat and pick me up! Be sure to take a photo on the adorable bench out front too!
